🚨 SCAM ALERT – Fake “Ukrainian Soldier” 🚨



 Scammers pretending to be Ukrainian soldiers to trick people into sending them money.

🔎 How They Operate

  • They pose as male soldiers targeting women or female soldiers targeting men.
  • They stalk official Ukrainian accounts (such as the President of Ukraine or the Ukrainian Army) and leave spammy comments like:
  • “Thanks for your support, please send me a message.”
  • Once you reply, they pressure you to move to Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, or Google Chat.
  • They also use military ID´s to look "real"  mostly are fake but they are real ID´s that real soldiers have posted on social media.


🎭 The Lies They Tell

  • Romance Scam: Claiming to be a widower (e.g., “my wife died, I’m lonely”) to build trust and emotional attachment.
  • Tragedy Stories: Saying they haven’t eaten in days and need money for food.
  • Military Needs: Pretending they require funds for ammo, drones, or supplies to “help the war effort.”


💸 Payment Methods They Demand

They often ask victims to send money through:

  • PayPal
  • Bitcoin / crypto
  • CashApp
  • Gift cards


🚨 Red Flags to Watch For

  • Anyone claiming to be a soldier asking strangers for money.
  • Requests to move conversations off social media.
  • Emotional stories designed to make you feel guilty or responsible.
  • Pressure to pay using untraceable methods.
  • Asking you how long you have been following the war
  • Urgency tactics: saying “you must send money in the next 30 minutes on PayPal” or risk something bad happening.

  • Never respond to private messages from people claiming to be soldiers.
  • Never send money or gift cards to strangers online.
  • Donate only to real, verified organizations and charities.
  • Block and report suspicious accounts immediately.
  • Remember: real soldiers are supported by their government — not random individuals online.
